Mr. Hira attended the University of British Columbia Law School and obtained a law degree in 1981. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982. Mr. Hira was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1998. |

Professional Experience
- Mr. Hira's practice consists exclusively of counsel work. It includes complex commercial litigation cases, some criminal defence cases, prosecutions on behalf of the Attorney General of British Columbia, and administrative law cases relating to professional discipline, political ethics, and other regulatory matters. Mr. Hira has appeared in all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.
