Personal Injury

In most cases, people who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents are stressed in the early post-accident period. If seriously injured, this is to be expected but often, where injuries are not catastrophic, victims find themselves confused and overwhelmed by circumstances over which they have no control.

Whilst not all accident victims require the services of a lawyer, it is our view that initial consultation with a legal advisor is advisable. Sometimes a simple telephone call can eliminate anxiety and provide useful advice We encourage such calls.

The need for legal representation depends on a wide variety of factors. It is our view that legal representation is advisable:

  • If there is a reduction in the quality of life due to pain or physical restriction.
  • If injuries are chronic and/or disabling
  • If there is a possibility of loss of future earnings and/or complicated past losses.
  • If liability (i.e. who was responsible) is in question

We do not encourage people to retain lawyers and/or commence lawsuits for routine matters. Consultation with one of our lawyers will result in a frank and candid assessment of these factors.

How we can help?

We have been working in the area of personal injury litigation for over 30 years.

We offer:

  • Free consultations
  • Free printed information packages
  • Flexible fee arrangements. Generally the client only pays if there has been a recovery made.
  • To carry all expenses incurred (obtaining medical legal opinions, etc.)
  • Two office locations (Vancouver and Newton, Surrey).
  • We are prepared to meet clients at their homes or other locations in circumstances where travel is difficult.

Our Philosophy

We prefer to handle a limited number of carefully selected cases to which we can apply our full resources and attention. This hands-on approach means that the client is always fully apprized of the status of his or her claim/lawsuit and receives appropriate advice before important decisions have to be made.

We believe that every client should feel that their lawyer is a person in whom they can have the utmost confidence and respect and someone with whom they feel comfortable.

Many of our lawyers are trained in mediation techniques and we have much success in resolving claims either through mediated or negotiated settlements.
